With version 14.1 of core developers gave miners choice. I as Bitcoin user want also such freedom and send transaction ONLY BY SEGWIT MINED blocks and even I will do it with higher fees because those miners to me only support true BTC and they are not using ASICBOOST. I can pay them extra TiP for supporting Bitcoin I don’t want support Bitmain cartel. Miners have freedom of using clients I as BTC user also want such freedom and choice whom I will pay fee.

Can we reach developers and ask to add such functionality for users ? We want same freedom as miners have.
