I know nothing about bitcoin other than the most rudimentary basic knowledge that it's a form of electronic currency.

Recently my father has been offered a business opportunity in bitcoin by a guy his friend knows. The basic business model would be that my father purchases a bitcoin and is then reimbursed every week a certain amount of money (i.e. $50 a week) for however long the agreement is for. But I believe he gets to keep the bitcoin.

Now I'm not knowledgeable at all when it comes to bitcoin but I smell a scam here.

Anyone know of anything like this?
