I think about all those stories of people hiding gold bricks in their walls (India), hiding cash in their mattress, UBS helping their clients smuggle wealth across country borders using diamonds hidden in toothpaste tubes… Even raids in countries like India where they seize all the wealth of people who had all that hidden money…. Or how about Executive Order 6102, where Roosevelt ordered all safety deposit boxes of US citizens searched and all gold seized (gold acquired through perfectly legal means). Cyprus with the haircut.
Now all you have to do is memorize 12 words and you can store a billion dollars in your brain, where no one can touch it. What is that ability worth?
We hear about bitcoin as a store of value all the time everywhere, but I think it isn't stated often enough that it can actually store that value in your brain. It doesn't get more secure than that.
